Ingredients

  • Fresh plums, halved and pitted500 g
  • All-purpose flour0.5 cup
  • Sugar0.5 cup
  • Eggs3 large
  • Milk1 cup
  • Vanilla extract1 tsp
  • Salt1 pinch

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Generously butter a baking dish or cast-iron skillet.
  2. Arrange the plum halves, cut-side up, in the bottom of the dish.
  3. In a blender or a bowl, combine flour, sugar, eggs, milk, vanilla, and salt. Blend until you have a smooth, thin batter.
  4. Carefully pour the batter over the plums in the dish.
  5. Bake for 35-45 minutes, until the clafoutis is puffed, golden brown, and set in the center.
  6. Let it cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.
